Name: Mabel Pines
Canon: Gravity Falls
OU/AU/OC: OU
Canon Point: Post the S1 finale
History: Yay~ Grass
Personality: If one could describe Mabel in a phrase it would be 'a glass half full'. Mabel tends to look at the brighter side of life, even when it seems it's bleakest. She usually make the best out of situations that would annoy or anger anyone else. A goat chewing on her sweater; that means she made a new friend. This optimism can sometimes lead to full blown fearlessness in the face of danger, thinking of ways out of situations a 'serious' would have no way of getting out of. Her optimism does have it's limits though. There are times she can feel self-conscious about herself, like what she has isn't good enough, but she's able to look past this and feel comfortable in her own skin. In addition she knows she's going to have to grow into an adult eventually and she wants to make the best of her childhood any way she can.
Mabel is very outgoing and sociable often incidentally making a scene wherever she goes, unaware of how silly she it; in fact over time she has learned to wear her quirkiness with pride despite how anyone might view it. Mabel can also be a bit of a romantic, trying to hook up with boys her age and reading trashy romance novels with werewolvesThose are totally in her age range, shut up. She can be very trusting, and will more often than not believe the very best in people, even when evidence points the contrary, because of this she hates lying and will avoid it when possible for her.
Knitting is one of her favorite hobbies, knitting sweaters to be precise. She not only wears holiday sweaters, but she wears them in pride. Mabel will knit anyone a sweater if she can. Animals are also among the many things she likes, from goats, to pigs, to a lobster she saved from a sea-food restaurant. This is most evident with her pig waddles, seeing him as an extended part of the family, the couple times she thought she lost Waddles it utterly devastated her, unable to move away from her depression and worry,
But above all else Mabel is the twin sister to her brother Dipper. She looks out for him, just like he would for her. Being twin siblings there's fighting and teasing of course, but when push comes to shove, they truly care for each other and would do anything for one another. Deep down no matter different they might be, Mabel will always be there for her brother.
Strengths: Mabel can physically pack a pretty mean punch for a girl her age, even giving her twin brother a black eye when trying to save him from a gnome. On the more peaceful side of things Mabel is an expert seamstress when it comes to sweaters, even going as far to knit sweaters year round despite the weather being too warm for them. Mabel can also be pretty fearless at times, sometimes literally laughing at the face of danger.
And she knows how to play a mean game of mini golf.
Weaknesses: Her strengths are limited to that of any average twelve year old girl. Mabel can sometimes be a tad too naive and trusting when it comes to strangers, not always but often enough. She can sometimes get a little self conscious about herself, but has learned to get over it.
Possessions: Her sweater, and her pig Waddles
Pony/Animal Type: Earth Pony
Cutie Mark: Blank flaaaaaaaank
Pony Picture: Pretty much this Baring the cutie mark, and she'll be shorter.

First Person:
[There's a flicker and the scroll happens to show the happiest little filly you've ever seen. And she has braces too.]
Oh my gosh! I can't believe how adorable this place this! Dipper, if you're here, this isn't anything like your nerd books say alternate universes are supposed to be, filled with evil doubles, fish monsters, or tentaclely things! Even Waddles is having a good time.
[And there's a pig rolling around in the mud.]
Hehe...yeah...
Hey! If I'm a pony, I bet you're a little lamb, Dipper! Don't deny it, you know you are! Hey do you think Grunkle Stan made it too? I bet he's a goat, no wait! An Elephant! NO WAIT!...A giant crab, cause he's y'know...a penny pincher, ha...Mabel Pines you should be in stand up.
Third Person:
"Dipper! Dippier! Hey, dipping saaaaaauce!" Said an overly excited little girl leaning over her brother's bed with a grin as wide as a football field.
"Ugh, Mabel. It's not even 8 o'Clock yet." The boy laying in bed could only muster saying, still drowsy and not fully awake.
"I know that silly, but it's almost time to go see our Great Uncle Stan! I didn't even know we had a Great Uncle. What do you think he's like? Do think he'll like sweaters? I BET HE WILL!" Mabel could barely even compose herself. Overly excited about the new 'adventure' the both of them will soon be on.
Her brother on the other hand could only sigh."Mabel...I'm not so sure about this. I know mom and dad think we're spending too much time inside, and "need to connect to our roots", but is sending us away to a relative we barely even know for the entire summer the best way in doing it?"
Mabel calms herself slightly, as she puts a hand on Dipper's shoulder. "C'mon Dip, it might be fun. You know mom and dad would have a good reason to send to some creepy relative in the woods."
"...Maybe."
"There you go! And who knows, you might even get into a 'Hot Summer Romance' I know I will" Mabel laughs as her brother's face turns as red as a tomato.
"A-anyway. I'm not in a very big hurry to rush over there...I'm not even sure if anyone will like me."
"Oh Dipper, what's the point of having a live if you're too afraid to live it? Remember our first day of school, you were so nervous and that turned out ok right?"
"Mabel I got three wet willies that day alone."
She waves her hand at the comment. "Details, details. My point is you loved school, you loved the feeling of learning regardless of what those jerks did. And I helped you whenever you got in trouble with them."
"Yeah? What does that have to do with anything?"
"Think about it. We're headed to a new place filled with new people, and I know it may seem scary. But you're going to like it, and if anyone picks on you, they're going to have to talk to a lil' miss Mabel first...pow, pow!" Mabel makes a fist and punches the air in the most intimidating way possible. However this brings a small smirk to Dipper's face.
"Yeah...I guess you're right."
"Aren't I always?" Then came a sudden bing sound from across their hallway down the stairs.
"Oh that reminds me, I'm trying this new recipe with soda and waffles! See ya downstairs!" And like a flash she's off running like a rabbit hopped up on caffeine, still, Dipper couldn't help but smile at his sister, sometimes it really helps to have her optimism balance him out.
